Nick Thompson is a seasoned soccer coach and former professional soccer player with a wealth of experience at various levels of the sport. He holds a BA in Sport Management from Messiah University, where he was a standout player on the NCAA Division III National Championship teams in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Throughout his college career, he earned multiple accolades, including being named a 2010 NSCAA All-American and the 2010 Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year.
Following his collegiate success, Nick played professional soccer in the U.S. for teams like the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL) and the Carolina Railhawks (NASL), achieving significant accomplishments, including winning the NASL Regular Season Championship.
His coaching career has been equally impressive. Since June 2021, he has served as the Head Boys' Soccer Coach at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA), where he led the team to a 2022 District Championship and a Regional Runner-up finish. Prior to this, Nick was an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of New Hampshire (2019-2021), where the team achieved high national rankings, conference championships, and multiple NCAA tournament appearances. He also had coaching stints at prestigious institutions like Williams College, Eastern Nazarene College, California Baptist University, and the U.S. Naval Academy, among others.
With over a decade of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, and a successful playing career, Nick Thompson continues to make a significant impact on the soccer community.
Steve Knapp earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Malone University in Canton, Ohio, and later completed a master’s degree in Sports Science and Coaching from the University of Akron.
Steve has been a Health and Physical Education teacher at Hudson High School since 2015, where he also serves as the Head Boys' Soccer Coach. Under his leadership, the team has reached the district finals nine times, winning seven district championships.
Before his tenure at Hudson, Steve coached at Everest Soccer Club from 2008 to 2014 and was an assistant coach for the Walsh Jesuit Girls' Soccer team from 2012 to 2014. He also spent a decade as the Head Boys' Soccer Coach at Waterloo High School from 2001 to 2011, building a strong foundation for his coaching career.
