Hudson United Soccer Club's Travel Division is dedicated to providing a competitive, educational environment that emphasizes player development, sportsmanship, community representation and personal growth under the guidance of experienced and accredited licensed professional coaches.
HUSC Travel provides players the opportunity to play competitive soccer. Traveling soccer requires a greater commitment than recreational soccer. The travel program provides licensed coaches, 2 practices per week, footskills training, goalie training, tournament games and registration in a competitive travel soccer league. Hudson United Soccer has competitive teams that participate outdoor in the spring and fall and indoor during the winter months.
We offer boys and girls travel teams from the U8 level and up. In our younger groups U8-U11, the focus is on developing the players and offering fair playing time to the best of our ability. Tryouts for all age groups are held in May to form teams for the following fall season. Placement on a fall team does not guarantee placement on the same team for the following year. Once players reach the U12 age group, playing time is not always equal and can be based on skill, attendance, attitude and effort.
At HUSC, our goal is to develop a life long love of soccer. We will give our players the opportunity to learn and improve as soccer players in a constructive, competitive and fun environment.
Fall/Spring Outdoor (plus Winter Indoor Training)
We have 4 sessions per year – Fall Outdoor, which runs mid August to the end of October, Indoor 1, which runs November through mid-January, Indoor 2, which runs mid-January through March, and Spring Outdoor, which runs April through early to mid June. Each session costs $320. Our Fall Outdoor session starts with 2 practices per week at Barlow Farm Park in early August. Fall Outdoor games run from mid-August to the end of October. Half of all games are played on our home fields in Hudson and half played ‘away’ in neighboring communities. The Winter session (which consists of Indoor 1 and Indoor 2) begins in early November with 2 practices per week at NC Soccer Club in Hudson and games at either NC and/or The Force in Northfield/Richmond. We go back to an outdoor Spring Session in early April with games mid-April to early to mid-June. Hudson United Soccer Club puts a strong emphasis on playing in the fall outdoor session and so all new and returning players are required to participate in the spring tryouts held in May. Rosters and teams are then formed for the following soccer year which begins each fall in August. Please be aware that if your child chooses to take a travel session off, we cannot guarantee that there will be a spot open for them in a subsequent session
Travel soccer is a great environment for competitiveness and high-level skills training. Any players considering making the jump to a traveling team should be made aware of the following:
